Happening less than a mile from where I live, I showed up the best way I know how - with a camera in hand. Moments in time, especially moments such as these, are much more than just an opportunity to capture great shots. They serve as an anchor in time and will later serve as a means of reflection + history. My approach for this event was to shoot somewhat consistently and to bring minimal curation + editing to the images. I wanted this collection of photos to communicate raw + true, unadulterated + unfiltered.
